My first build. I'd drag my then-girlfriend-now-wife around flea markets in Nashville hunting for vintage enclosures, and finally came across this beauty.

Like the PMM, this is pulled "from the vault" because I have a soft spot for it. I have fond memories of going through the Mouser catalog, realizing I could buy my own knobs and sliders like the ones I saw in store-bought equipment.
Back then, building a controller felt like a magic trick — something for electrical engineers, not tinkerers. I wasn't a magician, but I was young, naive, and determined enough to make something pretty with the limited technology I had.
