The workshop bench — vise, anvil, the etched 60 badge plate, and vintage tools
The story
Twenty years ago

I built my first custom MIDI controller, the Briefcase.

Fifteen years ago

I started a custom controller business. It couldn't pay the bills, but I met a lot of people. It was a wonderfully satisfying experience.

Eight years ago

A colleague reached out with a request for a custom controller for Broadway musicals. The orders continue through today.

Now

…I'm back in business and ready to make more stuff!

I feel I'm finally old & experienced enough to be the workshop wizard I wanted to be in my twenties.

Whatever you have in mind…

  1. 1)No, I'm not gonna steal your idea.
  2. 2)if there's already a product that does 80% of what you need, making something custom usually is a waste of money.

Let's make something.
